Welcome to Fedascent
Fedascent is a seven-week sprint that helps small businesses stop guessing and start winning federal contracts. Here is what the program is, who it serves, and how to begin.
The federal market is open for business. Most small businesses just cannot find the door.
The U.S. government spends more than $700 billion a year buying goods and services, and a large share is set aside specifically for small businesses. Yet most capable companies never win a single federal contract. The problem is rarely capability. It is knowing how the government buys, where you fit, and how to position yourself so a Contracting Officer says yes. That is exactly what Fedascent was built to fix.
What Fedascent is
Fedascent is a seven-week federal contracting growth program. It is a focused sprint, not a library of videos you will never finish. Each week you do real work on your own pipeline, guided by people who have sat on both sides of the government buying table. The program rests on three pillars:
Market Intelligence: understand how agencies buy and where your offerings fit, using live procurement data.
Contracting Strategy: position yourself with the right set-asides, vehicles, and a capability statement that earns attention.
Pipeline Action: build and work a real federal pipeline, from targeting to teaming to your final pitch.
The seven-week sprint
Week 1, Federal Market Foundations: map your NAICS codes and audit your SAM.gov registration.
Week 2, Positioning and Set-Asides: identify the certifications that fit, such as 8(a), WOSB, HUBZone, and SDVOSB.
Week 3, Capability Statement Workshop: draft and refine the one page that opens doors.
Week 4, Agency Targeting with GovPulse.io: use live data to find best-fit agencies and open windows.
Week 5, Proposal Writing Fundamentals: compliance, evaluation criteria, win themes, and past performance.
Week 6, Pipeline Building and Teaming: prime versus subcontractor strategy and mentor-protege basics.
Week 7, Pitch and Pipeline Review: present to the cohort and leave with a qualified pipeline.
Who it is for
Fedascent is for small businesses ready to compete, whether you just registered in SAM.gov or you already hold contracts and want a repeatable pipeline. It works for service firms, product suppliers, and set-aside holders who are tired of one-off bids.
Who is leading it
The program is co-led by two practitioners. Malcolm Adams, CEO of Avid Solutions International, is an IBM Silver Partner, IBM Champion, NVIDIA Inception member, immixGroup GSA subcontractor, and the founder of GovPulse.io. Dr. Lori A. Smith, PhD, CEO of Acu-Elligent LLC, brings more than twenty years of federal procurement experience as a former Contracting Officer and source selection authority. She knows exactly what makes a Contracting Officer say yes, and now she is on your side.
Powered by GovPulse.io
Throughout the program you will use GovPulse.io, the live federal procurement intelligence platform built by Avid Solutions International. It surfaces active solicitations matched to your NAICS codes, so by Week 4 you are working real opportunities, not hypotheticals.
What you walk away with
By the end of seven weeks you will have a validated NAICS map, a set-aside strategy, a finished capability statement, a proposal framework, a teaming plan, and a qualified pipeline of federal opportunities you can actually pursue.
Ready to start
Seats are $799, cohorts start on a rolling basis, and teams of three or more qualify for a group rate. If you are ready to stop losing federal bids and start winning, this is where you begin. Enroll at fedascent.com and we will send your cohort start date and your platform access.
